Dev Team Lead.
This MODX master has lived and worked all around the globe, but boy are we glad he landed at GEL Studios!
A stickler for doing things the right way, Nate pours everything in to his development work. Not only does he have the answer to most development problems, but he's often the one thinking ahead to solving problems that may not have even been considered - a huge asset to any project.
He's also a huge team player - always encouraging joint sessions where knowledge can be gained and shared.
Away from work, it's safe to say that Nate loves riding his motorbike, almost as much as he does globetrotting with his wife and beautiful daughter.
An insight to Nate, by Carly.
Caracas, Venezuela. Living in the worlds most dangerous city has its downsides, but Venezuela is the most incredible place I've ever been in terms of exploration, scenery and culture.
The ability to develop what I want, the way I want. It's a solid framework that allows me to develop quickly and scale seamlessly, while reducing the overall complexities of my applications. The user interface and inputing data is also smart, easy to use and more importantly - can be extended to meet all our client's requirements.
I taught myself to develop when running my first business. I needed an e-commerce platform and had more time than money, so decided to learn. When that business closed, I was able to take my coding skills and become a freelance developer. I became a developer out of necessity but stayed for the challenge and opportunities it presented me. There are not too many careers that continue to provide opportunities and growth without formal education.
