This month saw the latest website launch at GEL Studios!
Mayfair Nannies is a bespoke recruitment consultancy that specialises in the placement of nannies around the world. They were in need of a bespoke website that would allow them to post job opportunities and collect applications, as well as demonstrate the process that both families and nannies go through.
From the offset, one of the main briefing points was that the new website design needed to be pretty.
Tania from Mayfair Nannies has several years in the industry and knowing the target audience well (both families and nannies), came to us with a clear vision in mind. Before we could implement this though, we needed to make sure the website worked for users; enabling each audience type to find what they needed as quickly as possible. This started with clearly separating families and nannies in the main navigation so that we could create specific user journeys through the content. From here, we worked on the balance of content and call to actions throughout each area, as these differed between families and nannies.
The 'prettiness' of the design was achieved through quite a minimal approach. Extra white space was used throughout, giving more room for a large, scripted font to be used. We then also wanted to strike a more high-end feel, with touches of pink and gold throughout the colour palette.
One of the key areas of the website is the job search and application area for nannies. The Mayfair Nannies team can add new positions quickly and easily, specifying key details as well as the main job description. Applicants are then able to filter these positions by location and sort by start date, before progressing to apply for the job and upload their CV.
Each job is also marked up with structured data (Schema); an internal markup applied to websites, that helps search engines understand the content more easily. This means the search engine can provide more accurate and richer results to the user when they are searching and in return, increase exposure to the website and its content. In this case, a job application is not only targeted to show on the general search results, but also in the "Jobs" area of Google.
After the launch, team GEL received a delivery to the office, thanking us for the new website - which was amazing! There were some beautiful flowers for the girls and beers for the boys - but our favourite part? This rather brilliant Marvel card which is the pride of place on our shelves, with this lovely message inside:
"A MASSIVE thank you from us for such an AMAZING website. We are beyond pleased! When starting the company, I knew that the website was going to be the hardest thing to do (and have been struggling with it for quite a while on my own!). You have somehow, miraculously, delivered something better than we ever could have expected. THANK YOU!"
Tania also went on to leave us this lovely Google review:
GEL Studios exceeded our expectations, and now we wouldn't go to anyone else!
GEL really brought our brand to life. We came to them with a vague idea of what we were looking for, discussed our likes and dislikes, focussing on the look and feel and what we needed the website to do. GEL delivered a beautiful website, something better than we ever expected ? and ahead of schedule!
Carly and Elisha updated us every step of the way, sending visuals and options that we discussed and amended if needed. They answered any questions we had quickly and in detail. It was very exciting to see the project develop! We also asked them to create social media templates that were great and completely on brand.
The team at GEL Studios know what they are doing, and they are very good at it. We can't wait for our next project :)
THANK YOU!!
So we'd also like to say a big thank you to Mayfair Nannies - we absolutely loved working with you and we're so pleased that you love your new website as much as we do! We can't wait to work with you again!
