How we helped.

We were really excited to have the chance to create a new website for one of Swindon's top vets. Drove Vet's old website didn't reflect who they are, or what they could offer their customers. They also required 2 websites, one for the veterinary hospital and one for farm vets.

We started our planning phase by firstly addressing the existing website content - as there was a lot of it! We wanted to refine the content, so we could determine a new sitemap and simplify the user journey through the website. We carried out SEO keyword research to assist with this, then wire-framed the key pages, giving us the ability to effectively position content and step through it as a user would - all before even worrying about the look and feel of the site.

When it came to the website design, we stayed faithful to Drove's classic colour palette so things would feel familiar to users - all whilst giving the brand a newer, fresher look. This approach was also used on the Drove Farm Vets website. Using MODX's multi-context approach, both websites sit on separate top-level domains, but can be administered through one installation. Page layouts and certain functionality are accessed by both sites, but each site has its own set of styles for differentiation.
