We were delighted to work with three times champion jockey, Richard Hughes, as he started his exciting new career training from the historic Danebury Stables in Stockbridge. We worked with Richard and his team to create a brand identity and logo, as well as a new website. Richard Hughes Racing has exposure all over the UK, so it was important that the brand was strong, consistent and memorable. We wanted to portray a feel of elegance and class, using a blue/gold colour scheme to represent the jockey colours.
The website clearly reflects the brand, with lots of visual aspects to showcase Richard's impressive career. It was built using content blocks in MODX, which gives Richard and his team complete editorial and layout control, which is especially needed when updating ownership opportunities and sale dates.
The MODX CMS also allowed us to do some advanced caching work with images and pages to help minimise the amount of on-going bandwidth transferred, due to Richard's large following. Built, with modmore's Content Blocks solution, administration of the website is fast, flexible, and future proof.
