Signal Festival marketing campaign.
Signal Festival needed us to produce a bold marketing campaign that raised awareness of the festival, secured major partners and promoted the line-up of events. We started by creating a comprehensive marketing strategy which clearly outlined the activities that needed to happen in order to achieve those goals.
We produced the "No Space For Creativity" campaign which was inspired by a series of consultations carried out by Swindon Borough Council where secondary school students were asked “What is the best thing about Swindon?”. “Nothing” was the most common response. Our thought-provoking campaign addressed this negative perception that young artists have and tackled it head on. The marketing campaign launched on 17th June 2024. Press releases were issued to a number of key contacts in the media, with articles being published in print and online. We also placed paid advertising with selected media outlets too.
We set up and managed Signal Festival’s social media accounts which were used to promote the festival and events, with LinkedIn being specifically used to communicate with current and potential sponsors. Canva templates were designed which the Signal Festival team could then use for any additional social content they wanted to share. A campaign toolkit was created and sent to sponsors containing a number of ready-to-go social media posts for partners to share on their channels, amplifying our message. Email marketing was used to send emails to existing databases of over a thousand young creatives in Swindon and their parents/guardians. The email communicated Signal Festival’s values, the need for its presence in Swindon and encouraged them to visit the website to book onto events.
