How we helped.

The Shakespeare Hospice are based in Stratford-upon-Avon and offer palliative and end-of-life care to patients and their loved ones. They had a website that was overloaded with content, yet didn't hit the mark when it came to truly reflecting the brilliant work they do. So it was in need of a complete structural and design update, and we were honoured to be given the opportunity to work alongside such a fantastic team.

The hospice has three key audiences, and a main goal was for each audience to reach content relevant to them in a quick, easy and accessible way. This remained the focus of our website planning phase - we mapped out the most efficient way for users to reach key pages and ensured that once those pages were reached, the content was displayed in a clear, yet engaging way.

The new website design is certainly a leap from the previous site, and is now a lot more modern and consistent with the wider brand that's being used across various marketing materials. Accessibility was also a key focus throughout the project, with the website design factoring in contrast ratios, operable user-interfaces and understandable content from the very start. It was crucial that everybody could use the website with ease and without barriers.

An improvement for users and admin.

We also worked on improving admin times and processes for the team, with a new and improved online referral form, furniture donation form and job application area (all of which were previously downloadable PDF forms). Users can now complete these forms much easier via the website and all of the information is sent directly to The Shakespeare Hospice team.
