How Google is tackling spammy, low-quality content.

Google has always wanted to make sure that the content in the search results is helpful, reliable and people-first. Recently AI has become a go-to for some to help write marketing copy or in some instances whole websites (Yikes!). But last week, Google published its latest updates to its algorithms to ensure it shows the most helpful information on the web. This update will help to reduce the amount of unoriginal content and keep the lowest-quality content - such as expired websites - out of search results.

‘We believe these updates will reduce the amount of low-quality content on Search and send more traffic to helpful and high-quality sites. Based on our evaluations, we expect that the combination of this update and our previous efforts will collectively reduce low-quality, unoriginal content in search results by 40%.’
